Whitehorse

Worth visiting!

Golfing at 60 degress north

That’s the only reason we ended up in Whitehorse. Or near it. Was to golf. It was an excursion from our cruise. Let’s just say, it was a beautiful drive and I would’ve loved to see the city. It was also 38 degrees Faranheit, so that wasn’t “warm”, but we golfed and we enjoyed it. If you’re a golfer, it’s a wonderful course if you take the excursion (we were on Princess). We played at Meadow Lakes

Empress Hotel

Worth visiting!

Absolutely beautiful

and I hear the tea really is good. I didn’t get a chance to do high tea unfortunately.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Really nice rooms, very high ceilings. Rooms are typical, but I like the oldness of them. They had ceiling fans WAY up there. No a/c only heat. But with the evening breeze, you don’t really need a/c.

My one complaint would be the shower water pressure. The only word that describes it best is “dribble”. I doubt I’d stay there again, for that reason. Since my brother was in another room, WAY down the hall, it wasn’t just my room.

Enjoy the beauty, but stay elsewhere if you like to shower with enough water to get wet.

Inside Passage

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I wasn’t sure what to expect. Not only was this my first cruise, but everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE has said this was their all time favorite cruise. That coming from people who have cruised a couple of times, to over 20 times, and who have been around the world. Well, needless to say, I was expecting a lot, but at the same time, not sure what to expect.

We caught the ship in Vancouver, BC and ended in Whittier, AK. Stopped at Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway.

Ketchikan was a cute little town. WAY too many jewelry stores for my liking (mostly cuz I like jewelry). Juneau was filled with lots of souvenir shops. Skagway, unsure since we basically drove through town, to go golfing in White Horse, Yukon.

All I can say is, it was awesome and absolutly beautiful. I’ll add more if/when I can.
