Yachats is a great place to visit. Go hiking at Cape Perpetua. Hang out in the tiny town and shop. Go play on the beach in the bay. Stop at all of the little roadside beaches! Go to Heceta Head lighthouse at low tide and check out the tide pools! So much fun stuff to do.
over 5 years agoTraveling through the crazy traffic in a “bimo” (sp?) with an Indonesian driver is a must. Whole different set of rules over there! Head up the mountain to taman safari to see a great wildlife park. On the way back down, stop at the roadside shack that overlooks the city for a delicious dessert of fried bananas with chocolate and sprinkles!
over 5 years agoJakarta is an easy place to start in Indonesia if you want to travel through Java. I highly reccommend getting out of the city and exploring other areas though. Bogor is a nice city alterantive to Jakarta.
