I enjoyed my stay on Crete. The town of Chania had everything I was looking for; great people, interesting architecture, good food and plenty of things worth photographing. I hope to go baack in the future.

Hot, humid, flat and dusty. Not a lot of natural beauty but it is just my opinion. I don’t plan on returning.

I don’t plan on going back to this or any other middle eastern country any time soon. Can’t relax enough as a westerner to make it worth my while and enjoy it.

Interesting architecture and good food. Also nice crafts. Beware of the street children selling things. One of the suckers in my group made the mistake of buying something from them. Once a westerner opens his/her wallet, you will have kids following you all over town. We had a mob of kids following us for hours pestering us to buy things just because somebody bought a trinket. I’ve been all over the world and exposed to all sorts of cultures and their versions of the hard sell, this was by far the worst.

Really nice people and an interesting place to visit.
