As an Antipodean I’m afraid that I’m a little biased on this one. But even so, when I went home for 3 weeks last Xmas I was again taken aback by the beauty of Australia. From the outback, to the coast and the mountains…the majesty of this country is second to none. I will always call Australia home and that’s because it’s the best place on earth!!

A combination of some healthy treking in the Mao Ho Sung Province near the Mynamar Border; meditation with my favourite Buddhist Monk; the quite spaces that are to be found amongst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and chilling on an isolated beach on Kho Lantau. The magic of Thailand is it’s diversity and the calm friendliness of the people. When I’m having a bad day in London all I have to do is think back to the time I spent in Thailand and all the hassle is gone!!!

A trip to Muhu Island is like taking a ferry back in time!!! We stayed on a farm where no-one spoke any english and lets just say that my Estonian or Russian was just not up to scratch!!! Hired bikes and cycled around the Island which was fun until the flat tyre…hitching on country roads in Estonia is lets just say, interesting!!!

There are lots of old Russian Forts and outposts from the time when the Island was used as a Russian Base.
