I grew up in south L.A…Compton, Lynwood. …L.A. is hard to define..its a place of extremes…and contrasts..rich vs. poor, violence vs. picturesque serenity….its fast, usually..its me against the world..its “Kobe Bryantish” in that all of us have a little ego in us..that fire that makes us believe that we are “just a little bit faster, smarter, stronger, cooler, etc”…I have major love though…in spite of the RIGOR that goes with living and being here…it has something in the air…that guides art and ideas…unparalleled in my estimation

Progressive..cowboys, no not really..its a blue city in a red state…its progressive..social equity is big thing here…liberal minds…UT is a huge part of the city..longhorn pride everywhere in town…its growing..but the core, dowtown area is where you really see what is possible in terms of designing the city of tomorrow….they got it right here..

When I would drive to Destin from Tally I could not believe the change IN the color of the water…emerald green…surreal, unreal..gorgeous…much nicer than Panama City nearby…town is small..couple of strip malls here and there…but the sand is like baby powder…the ocean though, the water..its color is what makes you meditate and be thankful that you were granted the oppurtunity to visit this gem…one of my favorite beach spots in the U.S.—
