Warszawa, Mazowieckie
My town....almost
So I can say that whoever said that Brits too readily criticize this place and aren’t willing to embrace the culture is pretty accurate. A lot of the expats are moaning, complaining miserablists. I have to say that for a time I was one of them, quite heavily influenced by an old flatmate of mine. The most important advice I have to say to anyone who fits into the above category is that its easy to condemn and criticize, but much harder to understand. Take the time and effort and try to understand and you will be rewarded.
Warsaw isn’t the most beautiful place – do your research before you come here, learn about its long and messy history. Get off the beaten track and you’ll again, be rewarded for your persistence. Don’t judge it at face value but try to learn about why it is the way it is. That way it is much more interesting than at first sight.
