I haven’t been to Assateague since I was a child, so really this was a new experience.

We were down just for the day but amazingly enough the ponies came to US .. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. I feel sorry for the poor souls who left their food out in the open because the ponies got to them. I did stay away from the animals because after all – they are wild, but got lots of pictures.

The beach was superb. The sand is actually sand not gritty shells which makes the trip worth while.

Except for the tons of people ( we were there on a Saturday ), I’d go again in a heartbeat.

15 years going to the Outer Banks .. 8 of which we have stayed in Duck. This was our first visit to the Duck Deli in Duck .. and YUM … I cannot believe we have never eaten here before. We’ll definetely be back!

it’s beautiful .. the falls are absolutely beautiful.

We stayed at the state park and it was wonderful. * BUT * when there are posts that state there are BEARS in the area … they’re not kidding! I’m just happy we weren’t close to the camper that left their cooler outside!!!

We were actually married at the base of this lighthouse nine years ago.

It’s a beautiful town. Worth your time to walk around. Parking is HORRID. The next thing I want to do is take a “boat and breakfast” out. All I have to do is convince my mom to watch the kids!

It’s a great place to go camping too!

We go about once a year to Hershey Park. It’s an awesome park for people with small children.

and counting. Thats how long we’ve been going to the Outer Banks. We started by visiting Nags Head and now have a place in Duck. I’m ready to go back right now!
