At this tiny community,just outside of Twillingate, one can see “forever” across the Atlantic Ocean——at Long Point Lighthouse ! The next “stop” is England !

And, even on most hot days, one will find a lovely breeze there.

This is a tiny town just outside the military base of Baden-Sollengen, Germany.

My ex, two sons and I lived here for a short while first when we got transferred to Germany.

Once I got over my homesickness ( lol ) , I loved it !! so quaint, beautiful farmland, on the “edge” of the Black Forest,and within a stroll of the Rhine River overlooking a small town in France !

I would love to go back for a visit someday.

My ex ,my two sons and I lived there for four years…the military base was Baden-Sollengen….but we lived for a while in a little town-just outside the base gates- called Hugelsheim.

After being terrible homesick….first 6 months, I learned to appreciate the absolute beauty of the country. I had been told there was a lot of air pollution there, but living on the “edge” of the Black Forest, one would never know it !

One of the most incredible differences was that every Saturday morning, locals would go out and sweep, then hose down the sidewalk in front of thier property <———how cooperative…and makes the place look sooooo clean ! KUDOS to them for that !

Would LOVE to go back for a visit someday
