I was disappointed. I didn’t meet nearly as many gays or hippies as promised…
And the city kind of smells like a landfill.
…and it’s gorgeous, exciting, and unique!

over 3 years agoSo I guess the title is a grossly generalized statement considering I’ve seen merely 5% of the entire state, but that’s what New york seemed to me – simply alright. New York City is…New York City. It’s big, bustling, lively, crowded, scary, slightly smelly, and somehow beautiful. The Rochester area..eh. The Buffalo area…eh. Niagara Falls…eh (it’s MUCH better from the Canadian side!) Although my visits here, apart from NYC, were frankly boring (ok, it was winter – maybe that’s to blame), the pictures of the state look lovely and I will definitely travel here again.
