A heck of a hike but definitely worth the effort.

It was interesting and all; however, in my mind the Oregon Coast Aquarium is a much better visit for the money.

Remarkably clean and rather empty but then again it is only 5am local time. Fortunately the coffee shops were open. Wi-Fi is pay unlike my home airport (PDX). At least it doesn’t suck as bad as St. Louis :)

One of the things I love about Portland is that people here have a sense of humor :)

When I was in my early teens I visited the Dells with some friends – a birthday party perhaps? my memory is foggy after all this time – and we visited Big Chief Go Cart World for the afternoon. Being kids we thought it would be fun to crash the carts together as we raced around the track. The owners found this less than amusing and proceeded to kick us out of the park and told us we were “banned for life”.

Amusingly my sister is working in the Dells this summer so I asked her to see if I am still unwelcome :)
