Possibly the best singletrack anywhere in the UK!

It’s the closest town to the MTBing mecca of Coed-y-Brenin – the best dedicated singletrack to be had anywhere in the UK…

Loved the skiing – loved the location – loved the village. Best place I have been to in the US… but then we did have great snow!

Easter 2007 – brilliant weather, loads of snow and the best skiing on the planet. Stayed in Les Brevieres, which has to be the quietest location in Espace Killy – though the lifts do need a little work!

A great place for starting walks and bike rides in one of the largest green areas in greater London. Best of all, when you finish there’s a fantastic tea hut serving tea and traditionaly home made cakes (don’t bother with the pub or attached café, though).

A great place to escape the noise and bustle of the city. It’s a good place to go walking, cycling with the family and birdwatching from one of the many hides. A tranquil oasis…

The petting zoo is a great diversion for the kids – and best of all it’s free. They’ve got everything from sheep to rabbits and even the odd owl.

And after you’ve finished with the animals you can go for a walk around the lake.
