Napoli, Provincia di Napoli

Untitled

i didn’t get the “unsafe” vibe from naples at all. yes, it’s a real, live working city with real, live working people, but that doesn’t mean you should walk the streets in fear.

i say just take the same precautions you’d take anywhere. don’t wear anything flashy, be aware of your surroundings, and keep your valuables in a safe place.

my friend i was traveling with got her mp3 player stolen somewhere in ischia or naples, so yes, bad things DO happen. but don’t let that scare you away from this great city.

Český Krumlov, Jihočeský Kraj

the best time to go is off-season, when the streets are nearly empty (i’ve been twice, once in early january, once in april). the tranquility and beauty of the town is simply magical, especially when you’re the only one around and are just immersed in the quiet beauty of the area.

Fès, Fès-Boulemane

The Sacred Music Festival is DEFINITELY worth going to and staying up late for. I don’t know if it’s an annual event, but the midnight-ish Sufi music concerts are AMAZING.
