To visit P’s brother and family :-) Flights are booked for end of November!

I want to visit my mate from Uni. Seattle sounds like such a funky and laid-back place and it really appeals to me. My SO was fortuate enough to be sent on a work trip last year and really enjoyed her time in the city – she spent most of it shopping it seems! :-)

I have always wanted to visit Australia because of the sportyness of the place and the whole outdoor lifestyle. It seems to be so free and full of promise and sunshine :-) I know that’s a touristy view of the country but…

We’re planning a trip in Spring 2007 and I can’t wait. We’re going to spend five weeks travelling around and visiting different places. There is so much I want to see that I’m going to have trouble narrowing it down so that we don’t spend all our time on the move. It’s going to be a superb time.

I lived in Durham for five years while I was at University and I loved the whole area. It’s a great city to live in and there are so many lovely places within striking distance for weekend or day trips. We spent time on the Northumberland coast, in the Durham Dales, in the Lake District and in the Yorkshire Dales while I was up there.

There are some great pubs in town but not many clubs so the nightlife isn’t amazing. That never bothers me too much though. I just love the whole city. It’s got a great feel to it, and it’s at its most attractive in the summer. The castle and cathedral up on Palace Green really overlook the whole city, and the view from the train as you arrive over the viaduct always made me feel like I was coming home. So many great memories.

I improved my ski-ing no end and had a really good week. The food was great, but expensive and I don’t know much about the nightlife etc as we were generally too shattered to head out after a day on the slopes. I had a brilliant week though and really improved my ski-ing.

it rained and we had to pay a taxi driver to drive to the hostel while we followed. We stayed in part of the Innsbruck Winter Olympics accomodation and it was very brown.

Fabulous ten days on Waya Island in the Yasawas. We’d just handed in Masters Thesis’s (thesi?) and needed a relaxing time. It was awesome, learning to dive and snorkelling amongst the fish. Warm water, beautiful beaches and stunning marine life. Certainly recharged our batteries for the two months in New Zealand which followed.

Spent a couple of days here on our way back from New Zealand. Visited Orchid places, and went on a river cruise. Did some shopping and just chilled out by the pool.

Three school exchange trips in the late 1990’s and then a couple of trips round Europe with my parents.
