Gorgeous place. Great fish & chips. If you’re camping near by, the Cypress Lakes camp ground is awesome. Go swim at boulder beach in the lovely Georgian Bay!

The only thing more enjoyable than the friendly people is the amazing food. In fact, I could really go for some gazpacho and tapas right now. Mmm….

If you’re in the area, hit up the Cerveceria Europa at Avda/ Luis Montoto, 105.

Also, if you’re in town with a friend you should rent a rowboat and row along the Guadalquivir. My brother and I did this and it was one of the highlights of my trip!

Great food (especially the smoked fish dip), great entertainment, great beer (they brew their own), and great atmosphere. This is the perfect place to relax after stomping all over Key West.

I may be partial, since I was raised there…but I love Marathon. I loved growing up there, I came back to get married there, and I love visiting there. It’s not as weird or extravagant as Key West. It’s not as messy or noisy as Miami. The beaches aren’t pristine and fake. It’s just a little town in paradise where the people are very nice to you if you’re nice to them. If you happen to be passing through Marathon on your way to KW or Miami, you must eat at Keys Fisheries. It’s a fish house that opened up a restaurant for extra business and it’s amazing. Try their all you can eat golden crab clusters and you’ll be in heaven. And if you are lucky enough to be staying in Marathon for a night or two, you should take a walk along the old 7 Mile Bridge (yes, the one that was “blown up” in True Lies) right before sunset and enjoy the colors. Oh, and if you see my mom, give her a hug for me. :)
