Barbados, Central America And The Caribbean

Barbados (Mango Bay Resort)

Visited in 1999 with my husband. Mango Bay resort is a small (65 room) resort on the West Coast. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet place with excellent service, small but private dining and gourmet food – this is it. This was an idealic vacation for a couple. The beach was small and the undertow a bit strong for swimming, but the dancing at night, the meals and the catamaran ride (included) was wonderful.

London, England

London

Visited London alone a few years back and fell in love. Something about big cities. This one is all about history amidst modern life – loved the National Gallery, St. Paul’s Cathedral was breathtaking and humbling, Westminster Abbey, the tube and some travel to Windsor for Windsor Castle. Loved Kensington Gardens. Stayed at Chelsea Hotel, a hostel. The tube is fun and easy to manuever. Can’t wait to go back.

Chicago, Cook County

Chicago

Went to Chicago on a business trip a few years back, got a chance to visit the Shedd Aquarium (very cool, the beluga whales were so curious), the Art Institute, the planetarium (something romantic about the stars – even fake ones), the shopping areas, and the Navy Pier. Interesting people, great shopping. Though alone, I felt completely safe touring on foot and on the bus.
