Jelly Belly Factory

Worth visiting!

Jelly Belly Factory Tour

Free but you end up purchasing your body weight in jelly beans afterwards. “Belly Flops” are malformed candy that you can buy at a discount.

Bean Art is on display inside the factory and in the store. Strangely, most of the portraits are Republicans.

Parliament Hill

(in Canada > Ontario > Ottawa)

Worth visiting!

The Hill

Not really sure how many times I’ve been to the Hill. I’ve only been there once when there wasn’t a protest for or against something on the grass.

Go see Question Period. It’s well worth it.

Schwartz's

Worth visiting!

A long line

But, patience is rewarded at Schwartz’s with glorious smoked meat. A mountain of smoked meat dwarves two slices of bread. As it should be.

Worth seeing once

I have to agree with the comment about the crazy locals.

Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Worth visiting!

Rory Calhoun!

I wasn’t all that excited about it until I saw the Rory Calhoun star. I couldn’t find Lazlo Panaflex anywhere.

Mundare

(in Canada > Alberta)

Worth visiting!

Killer garlic sausage

Mundare is all about the sausage. Home to the giant roadside kubassa, Mundare also has edible forms of kubassa / garlic sausage / kielbassa. The Stawnichy factory produces, in my opinion, the best garlic sausage around.

Stop here before the giant egg of Vegreville, the giant perogy of Glendon and the giant duck of Andrew.

Gibsons

Every Canadian who has seen the Beachcombers needs to go to Gibsons and see the town.

Legoland

Worth visiting!

It was a life-long dream. At least it was since I started playing with Lego.

I spent the entire time with two other adult friends. We were the only childless people in the park. However, it was worth it. Sometimes we pretended to look for a lost child named Molly.

Anyone who has every put two pieces of Lego together can appreciate Miniland.

Liberace Museum

Worth visiting!

Off the beaten path but worth the trek

This isn’t on the strip. It’s more in a strip-mall. But, it’s worth seeing the splendor that was Liberace.

Worth the price of admission was overhearing a woman in her 70’s exclaim, “Do you mean Liberace was gay?”
