I’ve been here twice. First, to visit friends in the summer of 2001, and then in the fall of 2002 for my honeymoon. One of the nicest cities in the US, with great restaurants and lots to see.

We’ll be in Uruguay for a week in November! Our plans include stays in Montevideo, Colonia del Sacramento and one night at an “estancia” which is like a dude ranch where we can ride horses and work on the farm. Can’t wait!

I spent a few days here on business. Luckily for me, I’m in the wine business and got to visit some of the producers of Barolo, one of Piedmont’s most prestigious wines.

We stayed in the Hotel “Le Torri” which was a bargain at 80 Euros and the place seemed to be tourist-free in April. The restaurant “Le Torri” next door had an amazing Tasting Menu for 30 Euros which was an absolute steal.

Can’t wait to come back here with my wife!

A magical place, friendly and packed with history and charm. A recently booming economy has made the locals even friendlier, though prices have gone up considerably.

Lots of Roman ruins and even an old Sphinx make this a worthy destination.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Since I was here in 1989, it’s been bombed and reconstructed and may be more touristed, but it’s still a must-see destination.

Poland has so much to see and it’s clearly a country on the move, with lots of youthful energy. I visited Krakow, Katowice and Warsaw for two weeks in 2003 and I’d recommend the whole country without hesitation. Hope I can get back someday!

I’ve lived here since I was two. That’s a long time. I love it here, even though it’s not the friendliest city in the world. It’s safe, relatively clean, and there’s lots and lots to do.
