The real reason to go? The people in the room.

As a sailor, NZ was paradise. I seriously thought about immegrating here to raise my family, but the economy is a tad small.

Still, this place is absolutely off the hook in terms of nice people, natural beauty, and a culture in relationship with the sea.

Lord of the rings is mostly the national park in the south island, from what I recognized. NZ has a heck of a lot more to offer in terms of lifestyle and good people than that movie could ever capture, though it sure is perty too. ;-)

Nice people, wonderful time.

Take your time. This is a HUGE country with INSANELY huge numbers of cultures. Bali is nice, but explore. There is much more to see than the tourist traps, and it’s worth it.

It’s a beautiful country, with really nice people. But it had a bit of a hard edge in the cities…

If you can go, go.

Wonderful state, lots to see, great road biking!

If you go, backpack to the bottom, and bring lots of water. It’s worth the trip, and the only way to see it.

You really can feel the native spirits in the rocks around the valley, if you can escape the hippies. Worth a visit.

Colorado is gorgeous. I’ve backpacked, mountain biked, horsepacked, skied, snowshoed, and hiked all over the mountains, and I’d like to do it some more.
