All the deer bow. But they’re always asking for a handout. Felt like I was back in San Francisco with homeless deer instead shaking me down for a handout.

This place is great! School kids want to practice English “Very please to meet you!”. Great for taking pictures and soooo much to do.

On your way from Yosemite you need to stop in Mono Lake for lunch/dinner. There’s a great burger shop that’s toward the official Mono Lake musuem. After a great burger, fries and shake head to the south end of the lake. If you have a sports car it’s almost time to open it up. You make the left turn off the main highway onto a fast two lane road to the lake entrance. Have fun and it’s not so hot at sunset and great picture taking time at sunset.

On your way to/from Lake Tahoe/Yosemite you need to stop at Bodie. Visit the old church, see boot hill (good guys/bad guys) cemetaries, guided mine tour, etc. How anyone survived the winters in those old shacks is a story in itself.

In Abidjan as I write this letter. Nice weather and good food! Was in a conference most of the time and didn’t get the chance to visit many places. People are friendly and weather is humid. I’ll update more when we I get back home.

Visited Freetown and the Gondama refugee camp in Bo. You better know someone who lives in Freetown. Very expensive to visit because of security concerns. You’ll learn how many people can fit in and hang on to the back of a minivan. Slept on top of a minivan a the boarder between Guinea and Sierra Leone. A trip I’ll never forget!

It’s a classic park.

I think there’s a beer museum at this place. You take the tour and at the end is the tasting room.

Went to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara on a visit. Nice pathways in this place of ‘nature’. Have fun!

Learn to survive deep in Japan! Get lost walking around and finding out what it’s like to live everyday life. Fun!

Don’t forget the food! Can’t remember the name but there are these deep fried food on a stick Osaka is famous for. When I remember the name I’ll update this post.

Just remembered “Takoyaki” is delicious! Can’t speak Japanese? Just point at the food and order.

Why go here and hang out with all the Westerners! I can do that at home and it’s sooooo expensive at the clubs. Better places to go and see.
