I know I’m biased as a UVa grad, but the grounds (never say “campus”!) are truly extraordinary. Thomas Jefferson’s architechture is breathtaking. Nearby Monticello is worth the trip — the home, the grounds, the inventions, the gardens. Don’t forget to visit some nearby wineries, too — Virginia has some great wine!
