Yes!
Well, I lived there many years ago. When floods came, I had to leave, and quickly. Mmm…I’d been there, many times since then, but always quick, rushed. Just kind of not dealing. Spur of the moment (I was visiting a friend who lived close to tha’ L.B.), I decided just to make a day of it.
Walking barefoot, happily (charmed, like Bjork in the “It’s Oh So Quiet” video), smiling, grinning at the kids, walking through Main Beach (used to be a place locals like me avoided—but why? No reason why…). Loving the people. Surfers, families, visitors and locals alike, and so many children! Just enamored with the water, dancing, dancing. Just loved it.
An ease in my bones as I continue to relax into my joy. I feel it.
