I’ve had cousins in Ohio my whole life, and we go down to visit them often. There are a lot of farms in Ohio… not the best scenery driving down… but it’s a nice place, and it’s fairly cheap.

I’ve been here twice—once with my parents when I was young, and once for a school field trip. It was fun the second time, when I was older. The Raptor is a pretty cool coaster. It’s definately worth going. I want to go again.

The fudge alone makes the trip worth it. But the Island is absolutely beautiful and the whole antiquity feel is great. Plus… existence without cars. That alone is interesting. Horses everywhere… Just watch out for the horse poo!

All told, Michigan is a pretty nice place. The beaches and forests are just beautiful. And if you have proper winter clothing, 30 below is fun! Really! You haven’t lived until you’ve played in Michigan snow. I wouldn’t recommend LIVING here, but everyone should visit a few times. Swimming in Huron is worth it, at the very least.
