Fun, fun, fun!
I had the Freemont Street Experience, and enjoyed it more there than on the Strip. Had better luck too, got up pretty high on the penny and nickel slots, before losing most of it anyway. :) DH won some bucks on craps. So he covered most of my losses…
Unfortunately, even though I followed the advice of other 43P-ers and wore comfortable shoes, I injured my ankle. Almost couldn’t walk our last day there. :(
We did have a great time on the Strip, watching the people, ogling the fancy casinos, drinking out of wierd glasses.
Hoover Dam was interesting, Blus Man Group was GREAT, M & M World was just a large store, really, except for the little 3D movie. Food was… plentiful. A LOT of cheap buffets.
All in all a good vacation. Very glad to be home.

We’re leaving on Thursday!!! My Christmas present from my husband!
Gonna see Blue Men, take the Dam Tour, and visit M&M World. Oh, and win a few thousand bucks!

Yes, it is weird. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe downtown on a weeknight. We saw the homeless cross-dressing mayoral candidate, Leslie. He was wearing torn fishnet stockings and a thong. I had an urge to cover my daughter’s eyes!
Also saw the capitol (you know Austin is one of the only two state capitals that rhyme?) a beautiful building with lovely landscaping.
Awesome city, fun to just walk around.

My mom lived there, and an old friend of mine lives there still.
It sounds like a very beautiful place…

Plus I think it’s a great historical place to visit. Probably going this summer…::crosses fingers::

I love all things Aussie, including “Crocodile Dundee”, AC/DC, and Men at Work. But what’s vegamite? Sounds scary.
