me and my brother spent 4 days in sicily, we stayed in catania and we drove up to taormina (sp) from there, we’ve never been to any european country before, and i hear this is pretty standard, but anytime we were driving we were both near peeing in our pants due to laughing sooo hard at the crazy things the drivers do, we went to rome next and the drivers weren’t as bad… anyway… if you’re in catania look for a restaurant called medusa near the sigonella hotel inn and eat their tiramasu because it was made in heaven!!!

well i just got back about 6 days ago and it was insane!! just wanted to tell anybody thinking of going this time next year or whenever to try your hardest not to go in july, it’s just toooo hot, but whenever you go bring some rain gear.

i was like 10 when we went to go see this, before we went my aunt had told me we were going to see the old man of the mountain and i took it literal to mean there was an old man that lived on the mountain, needless to say i was disappointed, but it’s still really neat

they have a pretty good outdoor store and the top of the stairs is a cool hang out

i had to stop here on a road trip, it was the only place with motels and it was getting late. when we first drove into the town it smelled like oil and cheese, we asked the hotel clerk what the smell was and he said it was slaughtering night and they were burning off the blood by-products…

rent a houseboat! it’s the best way to see everything i think…

i lived in socorro for 3 years while i went to NMT which is a really good engineering/cs/math school and very cheap. eat at el sombrero or el camino, visit water canyon if you wanna hike around a bit which is about 20 minutes west of socorro, if you rock climb/boulder go to box canyon which is only 10 minutes west and has some really good spots

a perfect place to take your man/girl and have a relaxing night, it’s not too expensive either and if you’re from new mexico you get a discount m-thursday, but not in august.

if you don’t live here and have to eat out for every meal, it can get insanely expensive, but at the same time there’s tons of awesome restaurants, i’d say to eat as cheaply as possible for breakfast and lunch and then blow some cash on dinner. and you have to go to ohoris for coffee
