with my daughter for the first time. we had a wonderful time… we didn’t get to see everything, but everything we did see was really neat. i am glad we got the chance to go before the norman rockwell exhibit leaves on monday. the dinosaur exhibit, mirrors, and trains were what kept my daughter enthralled. an excellent way to spend a day. we received a membership for christmas, so we’ll be back very soon.

the tourist trap areas of gatlinburg and pigeon forge as much as you can. mountains are gorgeous and we had a wonderful time hiking there. a visit to cades cove is great too.

for a year and a half. i thought knoxville was a great city, though not sure if it’s a vacation destination. i think if you are going through tennessee or some other reason you have to be in knoxville, you will have a pleasurable experience. it is close to pigeon forge and gatlinburg, which are very touristy, if that’s what you would like.

and fell in love with this city. it has so much to offer and so many things that are free to do. the st. louis cardinals, the zoo, the arch are big things, but there is so much more. a wonderful family destination. but also for grown-ups only. my husband and i didn’t have time for a long honeymoon, so we headed for st. louis for a couple days after our wedding, and had a great time.

we went through a part of utah… absolutely beautiful. we stayed the night in ogden and the next day took a break from our driving at the eccles dinosaur park. the kids really enjoyed it and we got some great pictures of them there.

and my husband absolutely fell in love with it. said he wanted to move there. i thought it was breathtaking.

would be a good trip for me… i am not a real gambler, but i would like to visit for the experience.

with my youth group to build homes for those without… we made them using chicken wire and tar paper. it was a great experience to learn about a culture so far from what we were used to. we did minimal sight seeing as well. not a family fun destination, but i treasure the visit.

For those in Indiana or the surrounding area, Turkey Run is a great spot to spend a day or weekend. My family enjoys taking day trips there to canoe and hike… if you enjoy camping, there are areas for that as well.

I lived in northern Virginia back when I was in high school and agree with kristen8540’s comments…. northern virginia is just a big suburb of D.C., although amidst the suburbia there are interesting things to see and do. The state as a whole abounds with treasures, and would be a great place to visit. I plan on going back within the next few years.
