Seattle, King County

Untitled

The last time I was in Seattle was probably July. I went to the Fremont Fair which was filled with interesting booths and great street entertainment. Then we went over to the Capitol Hill neighborhood where we hit up a few record stores and magazine shops and ate delicious Lebanese food at Kalam’s Lebanese Cuisine. It was a great day.

Mount Rainier, Mount Rainier National Park

Lakes trail

I went hiking on the Lakes trail near the Paradise Lodge. It was about a three hour hike, probably beginner/medium level. It was a beautiful day with a clear view of Mt. Rainier and views of Lake Louise and Reflection Lake. Highly recommended!

Olympic Peninsula, Washington State

Untitled

I climbed Mt. Ellinor in August, which is located in the Olympic Mountains which are on the Olympic Peninsula. It was my first day hike and it leaned more towards the strenuous side. The first portion of the hike is through the woods but then it turns into a more open trail. The scenery was absolutely beautiful with the some little mountains whose names I can’t recall and great views of Lake Cushman. We also saw a few mountain goats and some very friendly chipmunks.
