Merti, Kenya

Outskirts of Kenya

In the summer of 2004 I had the pleasure of visiting Merti in Kenya, a small town about eight hours from a real “city”. I worked in a medical clinic there and stayed at a Catholic Church founded by Italian missionaries. It was an incredible experience living and working in such a simplistic enviornment. I am planning on going back to work with these amazing people who are currently suffering from the terrible drought in Kenya!

Nias, Indonesia

Amazing

In August of 2005 I went to Nias to work in Earthquake relief. Despite the sweltering weather I had an amazing time, the people of Nias are so welcoming and friendly. It is also a very beautiful and serene place to visit.
