Why I recommend this place to visitors

Maybe one of you can help improve Glennville.

I give up. This place and I are just not made out for each other. This Yankee is removing himself.

Hellville, adieu!

Es un lugar y una cadena de lugares, es un rosario vivo.

Es un proceso espiritual.

The Public Library

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

It’s just north of the tracks, off Route 84 on the way from Liberty County toward I-95.

It was closed, with limited hours. I left a copy of Southeast Yearly Meeting journal, so they could have some Quaker literature. I don’t know what they did with it, but I donated it by leaving it by the doormat with a rock on it. Maybe the librarian will pass it on to somebody if they can’t put it on display.

Hogsmeade

Worth visiting!

I sat three tables from Harry and his friends once, watching and listening

Then Rosminta or whatever that bar maid is called told me there was a room for rent after all, and I had to go look at it then. I’ll be looking out for more of Harry and his friends. Meanwhile, this humble squib continues studying and writing.

Wonderland

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

I went here with my daughter, when she was five. I think she liked it. Even my toddler lad jumped in the hole with us and stayed with us through this whacky adventure.

Why I want to go to this place

It’s on a lovely wide shady quiet street, in a small community near the coast. On the same street, there’s a little white house partly beneath a wide live oak tree. A little Black lady named Annie bakes cookies and pies and cakes. I would like to read in the library in the morning, then go buy a pecan pie, and a cookie, and drive home. I’d stop at the German restaurant in Gum Branch for coffee, or maybe I’d not wait, and I’d get the coffee right there in Midway, then go take the pecan pie to wife and the kids.

I met Bill & Sasha here

They are true intellectuals. no showin’ off. Just pure unadulterated sharing of heart, mind, & soul.

I’ll fill in the blanks later.

Spanky's

Not worth visiting!

Too expensive, food prepared too fast, generic

If you like oldies on the sound system, and paying $4.00 for a draft beer, then, well by all means, go ahead.
