This is maybe my favorite museum experience ever. Small, focused, not crowded, incorporates nature, great art, great views. Just a lot of things going for it, especially compared to the slog of so many of the bigger museums I tried on my Europe trip.

Well worth it, a beautiful city and the Dutch I met were wonderful people. But damn, all the people under the impression that it’s so hard to smoke pot in the rest of the world that they just HAVE to go do it in Amsterdam, and with gusto, and then talk how cool it is(and by extension, they are) incessantly, and then get too fucked up because they don’t know what the hell they are doing and end up passing out/vomiting at the hostel? They are annoying as hell. By all means, partake if you want to, but please keep that amateur stuff at South Padre where it belongs.

I just liked the quiet and the grey and the canals and the art and the people and stuff. Didn’t like being harassed and propositioned in the street all the time, and this was the only place in Europe where it really happened to me. I’ll definitely go back someday, but not while travelling on my own like I did this time, and I’ll probably try to avoid the hostel scene as well.

Overtouristed, overpriced, kinda cheesy/tacky in general. Maybe worth a quick walkthrough, but that’s about it. The tour guides at Faneuil can be fun, as can the buskers and other street performers.

Looks like they hauled it out of someone’s front-yard landscaping or something. I was expecting like this huge rock jutting out into the sea. Or at least something that seemed distinguishable from any other ordinary rock you might find lying about. Plymouth is cool, but you can safely skip the rock, though it’s not like it’s hard to see it if you want, since it’s a small place.

I wouldn’t say categorically not worth visiting, but it’s just pretty impossible to get anything out of seeing it, besides checking it off of a list or something, since the constant throngs around it keep you from really being able to get close to it or study it at all.
