Crazy big shopping centre
Chadstone Shopping Centre is refered to by locals as ‘Chaddy’
People actually make special trips to Melbourne just to go shopping here. As it’s a 7 minute walk from my house, I fail to see what the attraction is. There is a cool lolly shop called ‘Suga’ where you can watch old style candy being made by hand. There’s also a 3 level Borders and a Hoyts Cinema which has somewhere in the order of 18 screens. Tuesday night is discount night at the cinema. There’s also an AMF bowling alley at Chaddy. It’s a pain to ever get in there because there always seems to be league on there. I guess bowling and shopping are popular pass times in this part of Melbourne.
