The Reef’s Hotel is new and nice. Not part of a major chain but has that five star kind of feeling. I really like it and would stay there next time I go. We stayed recently at Pompano Beach Club, which is amazing because of the huge sand bar and swimming – but in my opinion not nearly as nice as the Reef’s.

Thames Ferry To Greenwich, Thames

A great Saturday afternoon idea

It was a lovely day in London and we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. We had always heard Greenwich was cool and quite different from the city. Took the tube down to Embankment, got off, walked across street to the Thames. There are ferries leaving roughly every hour. Its an 30-45 minute ride to Greenwich but very cool and pretty to see the historical stuff along the way. I though the ferry was very comfortable. Then you get off and get to shop and stroll Greenwich – an amazing place in its own right. Greenwich mean time started here of course. But there is plenty more to see and some really good food and pubs to step into. Then short ferry back to London. Fabulous afteroon!

London, England

Maida Vale area is a great place to check out while in London and well off the tourist paths. Stroll through Little Venice while you are there. Get a pint at the Bridge House, its lovely. Eat at Ben’s Thai above the Warrington Hotel Pub (reportedly going to have a total makeover soon as it was bought by one of London’s most famous chef’s).
