Fredonia, Chautauqua County

Classes at the college, grew up nearby.

I went to high school nearby (Brocton, woohoo…) and took a few courses at SUNY Fredonia. It’s a cute town, the students I’ve met are friendly and liberal. Not too sure on the bar hangouts, as I haven’t been back often after leaving for college.

Rochester, Monroe County

RIT

I go to university here. (RIT… Woo!) It’s not bad like people say it is, if you’re willing to look around for things to do and places to go :)

Favorite places: Park Avenue for nifty eateries, Tapas for Salsa dancing, Lux Lounge, The Old Toad, and the MacGregor’s in Chili for bar hangouts, Simply Crepe in Pittsford for throwing rocks through the ice on the canal and eating crepes in my badass seventies jacket, Cobb Hill Park, Erie Canal bike trail in the summer.

Outdoorsing in WNY

Can’t speak for upstate or NYC area, but western NY has excellent outdoors opportunities; camping, hiking, rafting, etc.

Currently in Rochester, lived in WNY ~10years.
