Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is a great city
Edinburg was one of the best cities I have ever visited. The people are the best there. I visited it twice once with a tour group for 3 days. I saw Edinburgh Castle and walked the streets of Edinburgh which is a very enjoyable place to walk around and view all the city has to offer. One night of our tour while everyone else was resting for the next day I snuck out and took a taxi into Edinburg from Dumfermline, I went into the city with hopes of finding some good nightlife, and it didn’t dissapoint, I went into a pub and had a orange and vodka as they call a screwdriver in the UK and I met some local Scots. Immediately I had friends who invited me to join them as they took me to a few pubs and a club which was awesome. I ended up paying alot for a taxi back to Dunfermline but it was well worth it to me. The other time I went was Y2K the MILLENIUM for Hogmanay or the New Year’s Celebration. I can honestly say that it was the best night of my life so far. We walked the streets of Edinburgh from sundown to sun up that night, me and my Air Force buddies went to all kinds of pubs and then to the main celebration on High Street, we were dancing with the local people in the streets, there was music performances, there was a concert going on up near the castle, the atmosphere was so alive and vibrant, you could feel the energy of the city and it’s people. Then after the great fireworks, A girl grabbed me and started kissing me, then all throughout the night as we walked the streets, all the girls that passed by kissed me, as is the custom I learned. A custom that I think we all should adopt LOL, and I must say, most of the ladies in Edinburg are beautiful women.
