This is a great pub built right by (well, through, actually) the Roman wall. It is an “alternative” pub specialising in rock and metal music. Great people and friendly atmosphere.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I would recommend Colchester to everyone, it is a lovely town. There is so much history here – Colchester is the oldest recorded town in England and is still surrounded by the roman wall. There is lots to see and do, great shopping, and a huge variety of restaurants and nightlife.
