The first time I went to this place

...it was december, 1973…London is and always has been my favorite walking city. anyway, I spent New Years in London, and at the stroke of midnight I jumped into the fountain at Trafalgar Square…and was promptly pulled out by a Bobby who fined me…but not before draping a blanket over me.

The last time I went to this place

it was under a state of siege…the police chief had been murdered by the narco traffikers, and the government locked down the city and arrested everyone who didn’t look like they belonged there…including gringos. I spent three days in a jail before the American Embassy sprung me

farnsworth house

everything from the view of the fox river to the hinges used on on the front doors is worth examining. Hard to imagine that this house was once used by a family, but for a single person or a couple, it’s ideal.
