Friends who’ve been there talk of how wonderful a place it is, and how they’d like to retire there one day. I’m going this November, 2007, to see for myself.

Madurai is one of the oldest cities in South India: well over a millennium. It’s a centre of Tamil culture and learning and home to the impressive Madurai Meenakshi temple (pictured here).

Apart from the national park, Borivali isn’t terribly exciting.

The only reason you’d want to visit Aranyaprathet is to cross the border into Cambodia. There’s nothing else to do here.
