Puerto Rico was awsome. I seriously regret not being able to stay longer.

Things I was able to do when there:

-Arecibo Observatory

-Snorkle (probably the best day of the trip)

-Lounge on 3 or 4 beaches (all very fun, and very different)

-Watch the sun set into the ocean

-ate plantains (the first dish was amazing, ordered it again at a different restaurant a few days later and was very dissapointed)

-Spent a day in San Juan (a little touristy, but fun)

-got lost (actually quite fun in the end… the island is so beautiful just driving around trying to get back to a main road was a fun experience…)

-…

Things I was not able to do when there:

-visit (swim?) in a biolumanescant pool (we had planned to, but it just didn’t work out in the end)

-scuba dive (someday… for this trip snorkeling was going to have to be enough)

-Rio Camuy Cave Park (get there early, the park rules mandate that only a certain number of people can be admitted to the cave each day. so while the hours of operation might go into the afternoon, you probably won’t get in unless you are there close to the opening of their day)

-spend MORE time on the beaches. The beaches there were amazing. As much as I would have loved to spend a few more days just relaxing on the beaches, there was so much to see and do on the island that we spent a good deal of our vacation running around trying to get everything in… if I could do it again I would either stay much longer, or just try to do less.
