What a breathtaking place. I explored half the city in a day with my best friend – walked downtown, through Chinatown and Little Italy, trekked the hill up to Coit Tower (and blown away by the view from the top), zigzagged up Lombard Street, and strolled down Victorian houses, rested our tired feet at Ghirardelli Square (while salsa dancers and saxophone players entertained), bartered with street vendors, then toured Fisherman’s Wharf. Later on we dined in Little Italy and clubbed the night away. I haven’t even seen half of the city so I am totally going back this summer to see more of the Bay Area!!

Nice, affordable, and lots of stuff to do (and for free too). Our restaurants are fabulous. Of course it’s not NYC or anything, but it’s a pretty diverse and happening place when you know where to look… it’s one of those cities that grow on you after some time.

Awesome little city – clean, cosmopolitan, organized. Once you get dizzy looking at the skyline, hop on over to nearby Sentosa island and climb to the top of the Merlion. The view is fantastic from the top.

It’s got really nice beaches. Boracay and Palawan are heavenly. Make sure to visit Manila, Tagaytay, Batangas, Cebu, Davao. Baguio used to be really nice, but now it’s overpopulated and crappy (from what I heard – haven’t been back there since I was a kid). Have cash in handy – you’re going to want cab rides, but if you wanna be a trekker, try the public transportation choices…

If you’re going to Missouri, visit St. Louis instead. Kansas City is kinda nice to a point, but not a lot of stuff going on compared to St. Louis. Hereford Steak is really good though….

It’s easy to get around the El. It can get ridiculously cold there, but the summers are quite lovely. I found myself walking around the city great, since a lot of people walk too. Take the architecture boat cruise – totally worth it. I can totally see myself living in the area in the future.

I went there for an interview in April. I didn’t get the job, but wow was it beautiful, full of life and culture. Interesting monuments and architecture reminiscent of Europe. Go there at the height of the cherry blossom festival. Tons of tourists, but the weather is perfect and the trees are in full bloom…
