Makati, business center of the Philippines. This is also my birthplace. The land where jeepney (1940s WWII jeep) is popular public transportation. However, i bought my first car while working here at the old age of 24.
over 4 years agoIf today Davao City has gone far in economic development, this can somehow be attributed to the hardworking Japanese laborers who in the early 1900s, faced and overcame many handicaps met in the underdeveloped agricultural lands of Davao. They penetrated the thick forests of Davao where others feared to tread. Because of such development Davao City has a history that is linked to three advanced and developed countries namely: Spain, United States and Japan.
Davao City then became known in history as a land conquered by Jose Oyanguren for Spain and the land that Japanese capital and labor made us one of the richest in the Philippines during the American regime.
