Alcalá de Henares, Comunidad De Madrid

Untitled

It’s only a half-hour away from Madrid by bus (they leave from Avenida de America bus/subway station). The historic downtown area is a relaxing walk and there are plenty of nice places for tapas or lunch. If you’re doing instense touristing in Madrid, this trip will be good for you; remind you that you’re on vacation. That’s why I like going there on Sundays, it’s an extra dose of chill.

Hieronymous Bosch - The Garden of Earthly Delights, Museo del Prado

Untitled

I was as amazed as the first time. It’s a tryptic, btw, not just a painting hanging on the wall. Very special work of art.

San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife

Untitled

It’s appalling that I haven’t been there yet. My aunt actually teaches Art History at the University there. Thanks to her I’ve seen lots of beautiful places on Tenerife (Teide, Jardín Botánico and a few insteresting capillas along the way). I haven’t visited her in ages, but this will be the first place I visit next time I go (soon, I hope).
