Jordan, Middle East
Varied and beautiful
I visited several Biblical sites, such as Mt.Nebo where Moses looked into the Promised Land, and a site along Jordan where they say probably is the true site where John the baptist were baptizing. Swimming in the Dead sea from Jordanian side was also cool, actually better facilities than on the Israeli side.
Of course, Petra was amazing, although if you’re not super interested in archeology or stories about old rulers, one day is enough here.
If going from Amman to Petra/Wadi Rum, it’s a better option to book guide and activities in Amman and also renting transport there, than trying to fix that on your own when arriving in Wadi Mussa – prices are muuch higher.
In Aqaba, be sure to visit the seaside cafe where you sit out in the water with your feet into the water, drinking your chai.
