Ya’ know, lobstahs have a lot of vite-mins and othar nutreeents.

To which I replied, “Who cares, pass the buttah!”

One for every day of the year.

What else is there to say?

A bit sad at the same time. Spent a lot of time squinting, trying to imagine what it must have been like before they paved paradise and put up a… luxury hotel, condo on the beach, restaurant in Lahaina…

Best part of the trip was when we took a detour and found this second-rate beach with only kanaka ‘oiwi there, no haolis.

The families looked at us strangely at first, but we said hello, smiled and settled in like we belonged there. Made many new friends that day, :-).

Marrakesh and Rabat are calling me. See myself in a souk, bargaining for an old set of hand-made chess pieces.

I’ve been going there since I was 9 or 10-years old. The first time my parents left me there for the summer with some good friends.

Had a bike, a fishing rod, and 25-cents a day spending change. And my life was changed forever.

Have been taking my 11-year old daughter there since she was seven months old.

Now she thinks of it as her place… and that makes me very happy, :-).

It’s a Holy Place to those who know.
