Been there many years ago with my family. Just remember how cool and comforting the marble felt in the summer heat.

Singapore is a friendly place. I stayed over there for just a day; but one is enough to see most of the city. Two of my school friends live there, but it was a weekday and they were are work.

I had no problems touring the city by bus, armed with little more than a guide book and my faith in the friendliness of the locals. I saw all the beautiful gardens, the malls and the shooping plazas. I met an office lady near a shopping mall, and she joined me for lunch. During lunch, she treated me to an animated desciption of the city and people.

By the time I returned to my hotel room, it was evening. Most of the luggage had been carry on, so there were no worries. The hotel shuttle dropped me off at the airport, and I slept all night on the flight back to new york.
