I just spent 4 days there and loved it. The crew are great fun, the surf house is fabulous, and Lagos and the beaches (and waves) are great. We were there in mid-November and there were no tourists and lots of surf. We even got quite a bit of sun. Fabulous time. Thanks Toby and Toby.

Just beware:
It’s hard to get to/from this airport unless you want to pay €30 each way. There is a bus, but it doesn’t go regularly and if you miss it, you have no idea when the next one is coming. As well, the taxi drivers will try to charge more, but the fixed price is €30.

Also, there is only ONE cashpoint (ATM), so don’t rely on it for cash. Also, I arrived about 10pm and the 2 money changing places were closed. So, I had no Euros. I’ve never been to an airport anywhere in the world that only has ONE ATM!!!! Silly.

I’m definitely going with a better airline and going to DaVinci airport next time. It’ll be cheaper getting to/from the airport which will more than make up for the price of ticket.

It’s on 43 Places as the Stone Forest as well – it’s more popular name.

....I am actually one of the only people in a boat that got STUCK under one of the bridges. It only took about 10 minutes to wiggle us free, but it was a funny experience.

Well, I have now been to Egypt, however since it was ‘just’ Sharm El Shiek, I still don’t feel as though I have seen Egypt. Therefore, Egypt is still on my ‘go see’ list, as I want to see the real Egypt. However, the diving in the Red Sea is AMAZING!

I went to the Cotswolds for a 9 mile hike. I wasn’t quite prepared for it, but it went well and it was lovely. I’d like to go back to see the villages more…. but it was nice.

This is a GREAT hotel. It’s not in the center of town, but it’s not far either. The rooms are quite inexpensive (for the UK) and they are like mini-flats. They have their own kitchens, a nice sitting area, and a VERY comfy bed. They are all new and in excellent decor. I was in a studio for £45 a night. Very nice and better than a hotel because you have a full kitchen – especially if you’re staying for longer than a few days. Oh, and they are serviced daily too…. which is like mom picking up after you and changing your linens. :)

This place is sooooo cool – mainly because you can actually go into the pen and play with the lion cubs. It was a dream come true for me and I look forward to going back. They are soooo cute, but they do scratch and try to bite – just like kittens/cats do!
