Worth visiting!
Growing up in the party college town ofthe grand University of Alabama, coming here was quite a change. However, I like the atmosphere. It is a smaller school with a college campus you can actually walk from one end of to the other, and the education seems good. I will admit that places liek Tuscaloosa and Birmingham have more of a night life, but make yourself a good group of friends and you’re set.

Florence is my college town. it has some great events, like the MC Handy festival and the medivel faire, but I admit there are more exciting places to be on an average weekend. Still, it’s a cute town with some excitement for nonresidents.
UNA is a nice college, too.

Alabama is my home. It’s hard not to like it. Some people hate the deep South, but I pretyt much all of them have never been there. More power to them, I think. The fewer people who want to go there, the more room there is for me. :)
