Eh, half & half
Overall, I’d say it’s NOT worth visiting, though there are a handful of towns/cities that I enjoyed. As for Los Angeles, one word: overpopulated. Everywhere you go, you are wading through crowds. Some suburbs of Los Angeles are very pretty, granted, but on a whole I wasn’t very impressed. Northern California, on the other hand, is absolutely gorgeous – very similar to Washington or Oregon. The Bay Area is the only area of California I’ve yet to visit, and regardless of previous experiences elsewhere in CA, I’m keeping an open mind. I’ve heard repeatedly how wonderful it is, and someday soon, I plan on finding out for myself.
