well, i don’t know if you could really calling it living here. i’ve been here for about 4 of the last 65 months. i live here now in between travelling.

it’s pretty cool in the summer but in the winter it’s like a pile of cold puke – you just want to get as far away from it as possible. so come for the summer and enjoy one of the best beaches in the uk.

maybe I have a coloured view because i was forced to drive around the city for a couple of hours. what can i say, the most hectic driving conditions i’ve ever experienced. rip off all your mirrors before you get in the car, coz they no use to you anyway. it’s all going on in front of you baby and if you don’t keep watching you’re gonna be in trouble. keep one hand on the gear stick and one hand on the horn and you’ll be fine.

Barcelona is gob-smackingly, pant-wettingly fantastic. I’m not going to even bother writing about it coz I couldn’t do it justice. Just go.

got very pissed on guiness. nearly had alcohol poisoning on the last morning. i highly recommend you go there.

Croatia is a really beautiful country. I’m a bit of a beach bum so my recommendations are all about the beaches and you could do a lot worse than Dubrovnik and Hvar Town. Zagreb is cool as well, there’s a pretty good hostel called Ravnice – though it’s a bit out of town.

Brno is like Prague’s little brother – it’s not as well known and doesn’t really have as much going for it in terms of art and architecture but it’s still a cool place.

myself and a friend from Chile gatecrashed an office party on a boat in Budapest. we dared ourselves to go aboard this pleasure boat moored up on the Danube by the Parliament building. we stayed for a glass of wine and just as we were about to leave the boat moved away. we were stuck. and we had no idea how long for. before long the 400 or so guests started moving downstairs. we followed, hesitantly, and realised they were going down for dinner. a stunning buffet with every type of food under the sun. what could we do? we had to join in. we filled our plates and went to take a seat. soon half a dozen important looking people came and sat down on our table. they were the senior managers for the Budapest branch of PWC! of all the tables we could have picked.

luckily they didn’t rumble us and we stayed for dinner, dessert, wine, Hungarian pop stars, fireworks on deck and karaoke! the boat went up and down the river three or four times and we were on there for over three hours. we nearly didn’t get off.

so, go to Budapest and look for the PWC boat. best food in town.
