I was never interested in visiting Paris… but I got a last minute proposal to go that I couldn’t refuse.

And I’m glad I didn’t pass it by.

The food and wine was unbelievable.

The Eiffel Tower at night as it glittered was breath-taking (I had never known that it did that).

The Hotel Relais Bosquet was perfect… a five minute walk to the tower and the Rue Cler market a block away… and the bakery on the cross section of Rue Cler and Rue du Champ de Mars has the BEST chocolates and pastries and sweets EVER… if you ever go to Paris, GO THERE!!!

I stayed in London and visited some surrounding towns during my trip… I was born and raised in Chicago and love the city, but London… all I can say is I felt like I was still at home. What a unique, lively, friendly city!

The Underground is the best thing in the world… but if you are traveling… don’t bring big bags! It’s a nightmare dragging ’em through the Underground.
