Tulsa, Oklahoma
cultural bastion
it’s true – tulsa has lots of museums and art galleries and a growing music scene. and its location in the northeast of the state means more trees and hills and absolutely all four seasons.

over 6 years agoafter you’ve been buffetted by wind and spits of rain, get on the ferry to doolin, right across from the islands, and go to o’connor’s pub (the only one in town) & stay in the aille river hostel.
you’ll get the most authentic irish music on the island, and the best pint you could ever wish for.
over 6 years agoget this: was at bus stop waiting to go to aran islands, bus was late. then later. then later and later.
bus driver came in his own personal CAR and drove myself and other passenger to next bus stop, b/c that stop didn’t function on the weekends anymore (old schedule was still in print).
saying the irish are ‘nice’ doesn’t begin to DESCRIBE them :)
