A tip I have about this place

My tip is really simple. Rent a car. Ireland’s coastline is so amazing. the country is of course generally very green and beautiful, but nothing compares to the stunning sight of the strong ocean, the smiling sun, the rough, but green landscape, with nice ‘edges’: Rocks, steep valleys and a stunning sight. Okay, I’ll get to the point: It’s far easier so reach places like country Kerry, Galway, the Donegal area and of course The Giant’s Causeway, if you have the freedom of a car. And get a Guinness for God’s sake! They’re not bad! Just drink the beer Really Really cold, then it is divine.

Israel

On my recent travelling in Asia I met a couple of great guys from Israel. We spend a lot of time together and decided that we ought to make our private exchange program :) A great chance to see this country which is so well known in the media and in the history lessons, but which I haven’t any personal experiences about.

There is more to The Netherlands than wooden shoes and tulips. Go see for yourself. The only very touristed place I will recommend in a heart beat is the house of Anne Frank.

Ah yes. My winters. Skiing in Austria. Next time I’ll go hiking there in the summertime. I have a feeling that the beautiful mountains will capture me, when someone has coloured them green instead of crystal white. It is not to miss.

The world is Big. Adventurous. New. Different. Exciting. Beautiful. Like getting postcards from people travelling, and your heart is all of a sudden craving to go to this very special place somewhere out there. It is adrenaline and it is a part of life. But there is no place like home. Denmark is mine.

The modern Asia

It was an interesting experience and first meeting with Asia to land in Bangkok Airport and wander out in this crowded, busy and slightly crazy city. Bangkok is at the same time a very asian and western city. The smells, the streets, the heat, the food and the atmosphere, all feels very asian, but the number of tourists, backpackers, local english-speaking persons tells a different story. Thailand is by far the wealthiest and most modern country in the south eastern part of Asia. It is a very ‘easy’ place to travel and the crowded beaches show how popular Thailand is for relaxed vacation rather than travelling. It is hereby definitely not said that Thailand is a country without an unique personality and atmosphere. It is most definitely worth visiting. The scenery is beautiful, the food is wonderful and the people are very welcoming.

Dear Vietnam, I want to see more of you

I recently travelled in Asia, but for now wanted to spend most of my time there in China. Therefore I only saw Hanoi and Halong Bay. But what places they are! Hanoi is an extraordinary city – the kind of place where you feel like buying a bottle of wine, hire a tuk tuk and ask the driver to take you around the town at nighttime for hours. Hanoi is the sort of city where getting lost feels like fun since you never know what awaits you around the next corner. And the boat trip through Halong Bay? I sat speachless in the front of the boat watching this beautiful landscape for hours. Dear Vietnam, next time I promise to spend much more time on you, since you deserve it.

An experience

I don’t really know how to describe my experiences in this amazing but crazy country. There is so much to say, and during my trip I never really knew what to feel about travelling there. It’s not easy, but it’s amazing. The Chinese people are very social yet many lives a very different life than the most I know. Ironically the people I spoke the most with was other foreigners. First of all because there’s not many english-speaking Chinese although it’s getting better. Second of all because it’s nice to share experiences and travel together for awhile. China holds a lot for the future and they deserve it, though there’s still many things I’ll never get used to in their culture and politics, and never wish for for my own country.
